How Crypto Hosting Payments Work
The full mechanics behind crypto billing: USD-denominated invoices, rate locks, confirmations, and automatic provisioning.
Invoices are denominated in dollars
Afiahost prices its plans in USD — $14.99/yr, $29.99/yr and $59.99/yr. When you choose a cryptocurrency at checkout, the system converts that dollar amount into the coin at the live market rate. Your plan price never changes because the coin moved.
The rate is locked for fifteen minutes
Each invoice displays a countdown. For those fifteen minutes, the crypto amount shown is fixed even if the market moves, so you can open your wallet, withdraw, and send without racing the ticker. If the window expires, you simply regenerate the invoice at the current rate.
Confirmations trigger provisioning
Once your transaction is broadcast, the network must confirm it. Required confirmations depend on the coin — a few minutes for Litecoin, longer for Bitcoin and Ethereum depending on fee pressure.
When confirmations are satisfied, the payment is recorded against the invoice, the order is accepted, and provisioning runs: cPanel account created, welcome email sent, nameservers assigned, free SSL issued once your domain points at us.
No banks, no card networks, no chargebacks
Because settlement happens on-chain, there is no acquirer to decline your payment and no chargeback risk on the hosting side. That is why crypto-first hosting works for founders in restricted markets, privacy-focused developers, and anyone whose card issuer dislikes recurring international charges. Abuse and AUP enforcement still apply — crypto payments do not mean anonymous hosting.
What happens at renewal
Before a term ends, we issue a renewal invoice. Pay it with any supported coin and the service continues uninterrupted. Miss it, and standard grace-period rules apply — the same as any hosting provider, only the payment rails differ.

Pick a plan, choose your currency and pay the invoice from your wallet — your cPanel details arrive as soon as the payment confirms.
